We would like to sincerely thank all of you for the extended love and care you gave our mother/grandmother. We know she was feisty at times, but you always continued to see past that, find the real mom and care for her. We feel very blessed to have you all in her life, you all do an amazing job. Thank you for your time and dedication.
You are all amazing and heaven sent. You give love, dignity and bring smiles to my Dad and all of the residents!
Thank you so very much for the care and love you've shown my grandmother, over the past year and especially in her final days. Our family has been blessed by you in knowing she was always in good hands. Thanks for all you have done for us and all you continue to do for the residents.
Our dad has been living at Allouez Parkside Village #2 since June 2019, after being diagnosed with an abrupt onset neurological disorder and needing 24 hour care. This was very hard for him as he lived an independent life alone. We couldn't have made the transition go any smoother without the help and understanding of Holly and Wendy who answered so many questions and concerns we brought up to them. We want to thank you for accepting our dad and giving him a safe and comfortable atmosphere to live in. Your staff are all very friendly, caring and compassionate, and have a lot of patience. Our family is so appreciative to all of the staff at Allouez Parkside Village #2 for the care and compassion they have given to him, especially on his tougher days. It is so welcoming to be greeted by staff and some of the residents when we walk through the facility. Dad enjoys the home cooked meals served, and the desserts are his favorite. He also enjoys the music groups that come in to play weekly. Thank you for everything you have done for our dad since he has been in your care.
This is just a short note to convey our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care you have provided Mom these past 3+ years. We were saddened as her dementia progressed and it became all too obvious that she could no longer care for herself in her home of over 40 years. While the decision to place a parent is difficult, we were happy as we observed first hand the compassionate and respectful care given to Mom and all residents. During the first few months, Mom had her difficulties in adjusting to her new surroundings, but with time she responded well to the bright and cheerful surroundings, the yummy food (she gained 20 pounds over the first year), and the programmed events provided to her and other residents for life enrichment. The dedication of the administrators and care staff in attending to her needs and the kindness and respect given to her has been exemplary. And, when she has needed medical care, the care staff and outside medical personnel quickly provided 1st class care. We sleep easier each night knowing that she is well taken care of, and that she is being treated with love, great patience and respect. Thank you again for showing her love and taking care of her on her journey.
This place is beautiful – bright, up-beat and buzzing with activity! That was my first reaction upon visiting Brillion West Haven. Two of my siblings have resided here, so I’ve had the opportunity to observe the daily care given. Upon checking out placement for my brother, my questions and concerns were promptly addressed. I witnessed care being given by staff who were compassionate, thoughtful and respectful.
The positive attitude of, “We are here to help you,” was evident in all departments. What a great place to live!
We are so fortunate to find Allouez Parkside Village. Our mom suffered for many years from Alzheimer’s Disease and we could no longer care for her at home. Although it was heart wrenching when we first brought her there, we quickly found out it was the best decision because of the expert and loving care she received for four years. The staff always made us feel she was special and we never had to worry about her. We loved the family nights, all the activities and the beautiful facility that became her home. Allouez Parkside Village will always have a special place in our hearts.
My dad, Frank, has experienced many things in his 91 years. He is a Master Cabinetmaker from Austria, born in a time when tuition was a pig his father paid to the Master who taught him his trade. For many years, he and his crew used their talents to fabricate the display cases at the Marshall Field’s in downtown Chicago. At one time he even worked outside on the roof of the John Hancock building. After work he’d never hesitate to offer his talents to family, friends, and neighbors to deal with the handyman issues they couldn’t handle. There was nothing dad couldn’t fix! Age has slowed him down. Thankfully, the man who used to help everyone now has help from the staff at Parkside. Companionship, activities and tasty meals at Parkside help him cope with the loss of his wife, Fannie, of 64 years. He misses her very much and the move to assisted living has helped fill a void and provide him with a more fulfilling quality of life. Say HI when you see him and he’ll be happy to tell you a story about how things used to be!
I am pleased to be living at Brillion West Haven. My boys did a good job choosing a new place for me to call home. Everything is nice. I feel safe, the staff is super and there’s a great variety of activities. I especially enjoy the live music!
This was the best place my dad could have lived for the last 11 months of his life. The staff was very caring and dedicated. There are plenty of activities for the residents, and the building is clean and welcoming. My dad loved the people that worked there and enjoyed his “middle of the night” (when he couldn’t sleep) chats and hot chocolate with the staff. He was happy, safe and well cared for at West Haven. And, when the end for him the staff cried along with me and hugged him and I. Thank you Brillion West Haven!
My husband, Pat, was admitted to Allouez Parkside Village #2 in April of 2018 with Lewy Body Dementia, and he was a handful at times. The staff and office personnel were great with him. Unfortunately, Pat could not partake in the activities because his dementia had progressed so rapidly, but they had so many activities and great music on Fridays. We always felt welcome and staff knew us by name. I ate several of my lunches with my husband and they were always delicious. I also got to know several of the residents and their family members, which was helpful when you go through this journey.
My husband was only there for four and a half months, and hospice came on board one month before he passed. Hospice was also very caring and there for me. They walked be through a lot of the steps and Deacon John was so compassionate. If I had to go someplace if I got dementia, I would definitely choose Allouez Parkside Village #2.
It has been a little over 5 weeks since my husbands death and I have been back to visit several times, and to thank the staff for everything they did for my dear husband, Pat.
We were concerned for our mother’s safety after she was faced with health issues. Since moving her to West Haven we all rest a lot easier knowing she is getting home cooked meals daily, and is being care for in a very loving and safe environment. The staff is always uplifting, and mom’s favorite thing about living at West Haven is the friendliness of everyone! If the time comes when extra assistance is needed, West Haven should be at the top of your list.
This is where you want your family to be, should you need extra help. The staff consistently went above and beyond for my mom and our family. They are caring and dedicated professionals that treated my mom with such great respect and genuine kindness during her stay. Comfortable and homey guest rooms with privacy and call buttons for staff members to tend to mom as needed.
Beautiful common areas with welcoming staff, a great room that overlooks a scenic marsh with turkeys, birds, squirrels and bunnies that come to visit. The sunrises are gorgeous and everything just feels cozy.
Great and diverse activities, always something for everyone. My mom loved attending the weekly musical events and Tuesday Trivia.
They host several gatherings and large entertainment events throughout the year, and it always made me so happy mom was able to experience fun and warm events when she could no longer go out. Watching her sing along, laugh and interact with staff was great to see.
I can’t speak highly enough about Allouez Parkside Village. From the Executive Director, Amy Doro, to Directors/nurses Ashley and Debbie, to the amazing caregivers, cleaning crew, maintenance and so on. Every experience was pleasant and re-affirming this property was the perfect place for mom, her well-being and for my families peace of mind.
A sincere thank you to these people for making mom’s last years as special as they deserved to be.
Where do we begin? On behalf of our family we want to thank you and your staff so very much for the compassion and care of our mom for the last eight years. Words cannot begin to express our appreciation for everything. Mom was treated with dignity and respect, even when the times were difficult. Everyone has been so much a part of our lives. It truly is a family at Allouez Parkside Village. All the services and activities provided to us were invaluable. The staff and facility is just awesome, it truly became mom’s home.
Her passing was difficult, but with everyone’s guidance and support we knew what to expect. Knowing mom was in good hands helped to make our journey a little easier. We miss her deeply, but know she is in a much better place. Thank you again for everything, all of you will be in our hearts forever.
It is touching to see the love that gets poured on the residents by so many staff here. They are treated with care, genuine love, great patience and respect. I am a better person for witnessing this love and patience in action.
